Aerosmith fans knew something was coming. There was a hint on their socials and even a leak before the big announcement, but the launch is much bigger than anticipated. Aerosmith announced today the presale for a special edition of their debut album, in remixed and remastered versions, along with an early concert recording and some merchandise. And although that live recording has been available as a bootleg for decades, it’s nice to see Aerosmith diving into their vaults and fishing out these gems.
For me, the main focus of the launch is the music, which consists of:

“Aerosmith” Original Album Remixed 2024 – Brand new mixes from original masters

Although the mixes and remixes are of some interest, fans mostly appreciate stuff they haven’t heard yet. And out of the whole “Legendary Expanded Edition”, I’m mostly looking forward to hearing the 6 unreleased recordings.
When it comes to pricing, the US Aerosmith store lists the main bundles as follows:
- 5LP bundle – $230
- 4LP bundle – $150
- Red Vinyl – $30
- Rebular Vinyl – $30
- 3CD bundle – $36
- CD – $13
Meanwhile, across the pond, the UK Aerosmith store took a different outlook:
- 5LP bundle – €277 (approx. $333)
- 4LP bundle – €151 (approx. $182)
- Red Vinyl – €30 (approx. $36)
- Rebular Vinyl – €30 (approx. $36)
- 3CD bundle – €38 (approx. $46)
- CD – €19 (approx. $23)
What gives? The LPs most probably come from the Czech Republic, the CDs are also printed in the EU, so what justifies the UK prices?
Needless to say, I preordered the 4LP and 3CD bundles, and the CD in jewel case from the US store. Shipping date is March 20, 2026.
