Tuesday, 20th January 20, early in the morning, I’m sat at my computer with a few browser windows open. The tickets for the 2026 Hollywood Vampires tour will come on sale at different times throughout Europe – 10 AM local time, as advertised.
I was a bit surprised to see the show I was mostly interested in, Paris, France, was the only one missing a ticket button for hours yesterday, while the VIP button was active. That made me more nervous than I already was and it made me wonder if the sale is handled by multiple ticketing companies, which usually happens, with the one handling Paris (the only city they’ll play in France) being a little late in preparing for the sale. And, sadly, I was right.
When the prices were announced and the first ticket came on sale, they were pretty much what I expected. I’d looked at the Guns N’ Roses VIP ticket prices for this year and front row got really expensive!
I won’t bore you with all the details about all the waiting, being booted by AXS UK for refreshing the page and Ticketmaster’s multiple queueing. So let’s get to the prices:
VIP 1 – “WHOLE LOTTA LOVE” FIRST TO THE BARRICADE – standing front-row tickets, really early access and some signed stuff – about 600 euros
VIP 2 – “MR. SPIDER” SUPERFAN VIP PACKAGE – standing tickets just behind VIP 1, earlier access than the rest of the pit – about 370 euros
VIP 3 – “MR. SPIDER” SUPERFAN VIP PACKAGE – seated tickets, just to the right/left of the stage – about 360 euros
I was never interested in the higher-priced package, “HEROES”, because of the experience in itself has nothing to do with the band. And it cost around 2800 euros for 2 people. You can view more details about each package for the Hollywood Vampires 2006 tour here.
Before the tickets went on sale, I went through all the venues and excluded all outdoor arenas. I’ve had enough rain at concerts, it dampens the experience. Paris already stood out, it’s my favorite city in Europe. Germany is easier to get to and London was the third option.
But Ticketmaster had other plans. They did not put the VIPs on sale in the first 8 hours and the tickets were selling out fast throughout Europe. I wasn’t going to miss out on a front-row experience because of Ticketmaster, so I went in and bought he VIP 1 package for Hamburg, Germany. By this time, the VIP 1 tickets for Koln were already sold out and this was going to soon happen with other cities. I lost my connection to what was happening in the UK because AXS booted me out from their platform for refreshing the page too much, I guess. Their protection against bots definitely works a charm!
I don’t know how many tickets will still be available by the time they go on sale without a password, but that’s actually good news – this tour is definitely going to be sold out!
